Our purpose is to work with customers to maintain operations, increase efficiency, reduce total cost of ownership, and secure asset performance gains.
We provide customers with quality round-the clock coverage for planned, predictive and reactive maintenance and repairs.
Our main workshop is in Dudley, the capital of the industrial Black Country, West Midlands.
This 35,000 sq. ft. facility houses the latest machinery, testing equipment and central functions, with a satellite facility in King's Lynn, Norfolk, specialising in electric motor rewinding and pump performance testing.
As our Electrical Winder, you will be responsible for :- Involvement of day-to-day workshop in relation to quality, H&S and environmental activities
- Stripping and detailing of all types of winding circuits producing concise accurate reports for management
- Undertake winding of coils for AC / DC motors, transformers, and other electrical equipment
- Carry out repairs and rewinding of damaged or faulty electrical components
- Apply insulation, varnishing, and impregnation processes to ensure durability
- Conduct electrical testing (e.g., resistance, insulation, continuity) to verify quality
- Interpret engineering data and documentation such as engineering drawings, technical data and computer-generated programmes
- To be able to work under minimum supervision, taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work you undertake
- Be pro‑active in finding solutions to problems and identifying areas for improving the business
- Ensure standard work practices and procedures are being followed
- Responding to emergency situations
- Apprenticeship in associated field or adequate experience
- Health & safety, environmental or quality training would an advantage but not essential
- Ability to work to instruction and on own initiative
- Selecting and using a range of measuring and testing equipment to check components are to the required quality and accuracy
- Read and interpret engineering data
- To be able to demonstrate problem solving skills to solve and repair issues efficiently and effectively
- GCSE or equivalent
- Tool room experience advantageous
