0737 Trust Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled and proactive Speech and Language Therapist to join Hales Valley Trust and support pupils across our schools. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about improving communication, language and interaction outcomes for children and young people with a range of needs.

Working under the overall direction of the Head of School and reporting to the HVT Trust Head of Inclusion, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality speech and language therapy to pupils through individual, group and teacher-directed sessions. You will contribute to a supportive, inclusive learning environment where pupils are empowered to thrive both academically and emotionally.

You will be working 15 hours per week, (2 days), 39 weeks per annum.

Your Actual Salary will be £36,000 (Spot Salary) per annum.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide speech and language therapy to pupils across the Trust through tailored individual and group interventions.
  • Complete assessments for current and prospective pupils to identify speech, language and communication needs.
  • Develop, implement and review therapy programmes in collaboration with school staff and families.
  • Produce clear, professional written reports and documentation to support pupils, staff and external agencies.
  • Contribute to the training and development of teaching and support staff to embed effective communication strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, inclusion teams and other professionals to ensure consistent, high-quality practice.
  • Promote inclusive practice and support positive outcomes for all pupils.
We are looking for someone who:
  • Is a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with relevant professional registration.
  • Has experience working with children and young people in educational settings (desirable).
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Is reflective, flexible and committed to meeting the diverse needs of pupils.
  • Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team and independently when required.
  • Is passionate about inclusion and improving outcomes for pupils with additional needs.
