Are you ready to make a lasting impact in the lives of D/deaf children and young people?

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team as a Specialist Teaching Assistant working across both of Dudley’s Local Authority Enhanced Provisions for pupils with severe or profound D/deafness. The 20‑place primary provision is located at Ashwood Park Primary and the 12‑place secondary provision is based at The Crestwood School. Entrance to the provision is through the EHCP process.

Pupils are fully included in mainstream education while benefiting from tailored teaching sessions and enhanced classroom communication support.

As part of our passionate team – which includes Qualified Teachers of the Deaf (QTODs) and Specialist Teaching Assistants – you’ll deliver one‑to‑one and small‑group support to nurture language development, listening skills, and access to the wider curriculum. Communication approaches, whether oral or SSE/BSL, are agreed in partnership with families to suit each child’s unique needs.

We work closely with NHS audiology, the Cochlear Implant Centre, and parents to ensure every child receives the best listening experience possible – backed by the latest hearing technology.

Ready to play a key role in a nurturing and specialist environment? Join us and help shape brighter futures for deaf pupils in Dudley.
