$24.00/hr - $32.00/hr

Position Summary

As a Produce Department Lead you will drive sales and supervise a team of hourly associates to deliver members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Produce and collaborate with other team leaders to ensure the club meets member expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Leader – supervise the team in the Produce and Floral area to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club.
  • Communicate departmental goals, execute company programs, adhere to policies, and advocate for the member, associate, and company.
  • Work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the club meets member expectations.
  • Be an Expert – maintain in‑depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations; ensure the produce area meets company quality, inventory, sanitation, equipment, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Manage seasonality in terms of item volume, product knowledge, processes, and prioritizing time between areas.
  • Collaborate with associates to ensure the team has resources, share knowledge, and train the team.
  • Be a Techie – leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Utilize hand‑held technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, product quality, and to adopt new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Be an Owner – drive business results, plan for profitability, maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area, and ensure adequate staffing, accurate audit and compliance, and model a commitment to member service.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador – teach and train the team, identify potential, provide necessary skills, and encourage career growth. Source new talent internally and externally.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners.
  • Demonstrate and support compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; assist management with correcting ethical and compliance issues.
  • Lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, providing advice and support, and modeling how to adapt to change or new challenges.

Eligibility and Compensation Details

The hourly wage range for this position is $24.00 to $32.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may be paid in the form of premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6 months experience working in a fresh production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Successfully complete all job‑required training and assessments within a prescribed time period.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supervising a team.
  • Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
