Position Summary

As a Senior Meat Cutter you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Member – Collaborates with cross‑functional teams and helps educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicates effectively and develops interpersonal skills for customer service, remains flexible to the needs of the business, tracks goods, maintains inventory levels, and controls shrinkage.
  • Be an Expert – Maintains an in‑depth knowledge of the various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations; processes meat according to specifications, including cutting, slicing, grinding, and wrapping, ensuring compliance with food‑safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management while maintaining and sanitizing equipment.
  • Be a Techie – Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilizes handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
  • Be an Owner – Drives business results by ensuring operational excellence; plans for profitability; maintains a work area according to company policies; ensures high‑volume meat products are of quality and standards, eliminates waste, safeguards fragile merchandise, assists members with purchasing decisions, and ensures proper packaging, labeling, and storage.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador – Acts as an advocate for the department and club by valuing the members’ experience in the meat area, modeling high‑quality service and products, executing basics at the highest level of quality, interacting with associates to understand roadblocks, and assisting them in training to perform job‑related duties.
  • Follow Company Policies – Complies with policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; implements related action plans through the Open Door Policy and applies them in executing business processes and practices.
  • Manage Work Priorities – Completes work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners; identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicates progress and recommends improvement opportunities while adapting and learning from feedback.
