Job TitleDirector of Sales and Growth

Role OverviewThe Director of Sales and Growth is responsible for leading all aspects of retail sales execution while driving store performance and multi-location growth. This is a hands‑on leadership role that combines active selling with team development, process building, and scalable growth strategies.
This position requires daily presence on the sales floor. The Director will coach team members in real time, close high‑value deals, improve sales processes, and build a repeatable sales engine that supports expansion. This role is not suited for a desk‑only leader.
Required Experience (Non‑Negotiable)- 3+ years of hands‑on retail sales management experience
- Proven success actively selling while leading sales teams
- Experience in high‑volume or value‑driven retail environments (open‑box, outlet, liquidation, or similar preferred)
- Experience selling big‑ticket items such as furniture, appliances, flooring, or home goods
- Demonstrated ability to build SOPs, sales systems, and training programs
- A history of consistently achieving revenue goals through direct involvement
- Daily presence on the sales floor
- Jumping into sales during peak traffic or stalled deals
- Demonstrating closing techniques live
- Correcting behaviors in real time
- Training through action, not just instruction
- Leading by example every day
- Actively sell and close high‑ticket retail items
- Lead daily sales operations
- Coach associates in real time
- Set and drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
- Build, document, and implement standardized sales processes, including customer greeting and engagement standards, sales flows for major product categories, objection handling and closing scripts, pricing discipline, and margin protection
- Train, coach, and develop sales staff; hold team members accountable to KPIs; address underperformance promptly and clearly; foster a performance‑driven culture; design scalable sales systems for future locations; support increased inventory volume and store growth; test and implement new sales initiatives; develop playbooks for new store launches; oversee walk‑in, phone, and online leads; enforce follow‑up discipline; maximize conversion rates and average transaction value
