Hours:
36 hours per week - Shift: 12‑hour Nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)
- Holiday Rotation:
Includes Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Memorial Day as applicable - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910 - $2010
- Active RN license — Iowa RN or Compact (multistate) RN license accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg Telemetry or acute care experience (telemetry nurse or cardiovascular experience preferred)
- Strong clinical skills in telemetry monitoring, ECG interpretation, cardiac assessment, and safe medication administration
- Ability to complete onboarding: health screenings, background check, and competency testing
- Proficiency with EMR documentation and interdisciplinary communication in an acute care setting
- Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care to adult patients on a cardiovascular Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
- Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and ECGs; promptly identify and escalate changes in patient condition.
- Perform comprehensive physical and cardiac assessments, develop and update individualized care plans, and document accurately in the EMR.
- Administer medications and cardiac‑related therapies safely and per orders, including IV medications and titrations when applicable.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, patient education, and discharge planning.
- Support safe night‑shift nursing operations with effective prioritization, handoffs, and timely response to urgent needs.
- Maintain infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement standards during every shift.
