Overview

Shift: Full-time, Days Monday - Friday, for 80 hours per pay period. You will be required to flex to other shifts outside of those hours for events.

The Executive Director, Finley Health Foundation, shall be responsible for the overall management of fund raising activities for the Finley Health Foundation including: annual gifts and grants, major and planned gifts, capital campaigns and administration of the Finley Health Foundation. In this capacity, he/she shall serve in an advisory role to the Market President.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising and development strategy aligned with the hospital’s strategic priorities.

  • Serve as the chief ambassador of the Foundation to donors, community leaders, and partners.

  • Advise hospital leadership and the Foundation Board on philanthropic trends, opportunities, and risks.

  • Establish short- and long-term revenue goals and performance metrics.

Fundraising & Development

  • Lead major gift and principal gift programs, including identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding high-level donors.

  • Oversee annual giving, special events, corporate sponsor ships, planned giving, and grant development.

  • Plan and execute capital and comprehensive fundraising campaigns as needed.

  • Ensure strong donor stewardship and recognition programs.

Board & Governance

  • Partner closely with the Foundation Board of Directors to maximize engagement, governance effectiveness, and fundraising performance.

  • Support board recruitment, orientation, and development.

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and materials for board meetings and committees.

Operations & Financial Management

  • Oversee Foundation operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance.

  • Ensure adherence to ethical fundraising standards, donor intent, and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage gift processing, donor database systems, and reporting accuracy.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, develop, and manage Foundation staff, fostering a high-performance, mission-driven culture.

  • Set clear goals, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations.

  • Encourage collaboration with hospital departments and clinical leadership.

Donor & Community Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, physicians, executives, volunteers, and community partners.

  • Represent the Foundation at hospital and community events.

  • Promote a culture of philanthropy across the hospital organization.

Marketing & Communications

  • Oversee donor communications, including impact reports, newsletters, campaigns, and digital engagement.

  • Collaborate with hospital marketing/communications teams to align messaging and branding.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Marketing, Communication or Business-related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Proven success in gift cultivation vehicles including annual fund, estate planning, capital campaigns, etc...
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in institutional development (resource development, marketing and communication.
  • Significant experience in volunteer leadership development
  • Signficant field experience and success with personal solicitation of major gifts and grants.
