Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring an active Iowa or compact license and substantial Cath Lab expertise.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting

• Primary and secondary circulator roles, not required to scrub

• Patient load of approximately 4 procedures or scans per day

• Equipment used includes Artis Zee c-arm, Impella, IABP, and Acist Injector

• EMR system is Epic;
Epic Cupid experience is highly preferred

• Scheduled for 4x9 hour day shifts, 0645 – 1615, totaling 36 hours per week

• Requires 50% call, including every other weekend and every other holiday

• Will function as primary or secondary circulator within the Cath Lab

• No scrubbing responsibilities are included in this position

• Hospital-provided light blue scrubs must be worn

• Must be willing and able to work every other weekend and every other holiday as part of the call rotation

• Candidates residing within 90 miles of the facility are not eligible

• References from a supervisor within the past 24 months are preferred

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required at time of consideration

• Minimum 24 months of recent Cath Lab or Cardiac nursing experience required

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC) required

• NIH Stroke Scale certification highly preferred and may be obtained during onboarding

• Documented experience operating Artis Zee c-arm, Impella, IABP, and Acist Injector required

• Prior completion of at least one travel contract within the past 12 months is required; first-time travelers not eligible

• Recent work history in Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele of at least 24 months required

• Valid driver’s license required for consideration

• A skills checklist specific to discipline is required
