Medical Associates Clinic, located in Dubuque, Iowa, is seeking an
NP or PAt
o join our well-established, thriving multidisciplinary practice in the Cardiothoracic and Cardiology department. This position will be shared between both departments with flexibility needed!
- Our advanced practice practitioners examine cardiac patients, order tests, make assessments, provide education, prescribe medications, and monitor the conditions of the heart in both the clinic and inpatient setting.
- As part of a multispecialty clinic, we utilize a shared EHR system across the organization that allows for continuity of care among our primary care and specialty departments. It also allows for fast and easy communication with our providers and staff across our many departments.
Providing direct medical care under the direction of supervising physician(s) including but not limited to:
- obtaining histories and vitals
- ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and appropriate labs
- establishing diagnosis and initiating treatment plan
- managing acute and chronic diseases
- promoting and ordering vaccination
- providing patient education to promote wellness and support disease management processes
Full-time (salaried) with 85% patient contact hours with a schedule of 4.5-5 day workweek. This position may include some type of call.

Education:
Equivalent to a college degree and professional certificate or a graduate degree. ARNP or PA licensed.
Experience:
Two to three years of experience as a specialized Cardiology provider preferred.
