Your Responsibilities The 2026 Weld Manufacturing Engineering Development Program gives recent engineering graduates three experiences over a two year period. The eight-month rotations include assignments in Weld OFP Manufacturing Engineering, Fabrication OFP Manufacturing Engineering, Tooling Engineering and Fabrication or Weld PDP- all possible at John Deere locations in the Midwest. You'll have the opportunity to learn and execute weld processes within each of these areas.

What Skills You Need

Education:

Currently pursuing or recent college graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Welding Engineering or related Engineering degree with an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 through August 2026
* Desired cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale. Minimum cumulative GPA required of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale Candidates must be willing to relocate to Dubuque, Iowa Work Statement: US Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. What Skills You Need
* Previous intern or co-op experience in weld engineering
* Experience with problem solving and working in a team environment.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Familiar with Microsoft Office products. Ideally, a strong candidate will also possess:
* Experience with Pro/E, Solid Works, or AutoCAD.
* Experience with tooling design.
* Working knowledge of robotics and design for automation.
* Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
* Experience with SAP.
