The Oakland Home Store is seeking a hands‑on, design‑minded Operational Retail Manager to oversee the flow and function of our retail environment. This role bridges the beauty of presentation with the precision of operations — managing furniture, inventory, and spatial transitions to ensure every corner of the store reflects our signature sense of style and inspiration. This role reports directly to the Home Store GM, collaborating with the Visual Manager and the Home Store Manager Team.
Applicants should possess the following qualifications
:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A collaborative spirit and a team‑first approach to problem solving.
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 lbs, including furniture and outdoor pieces.
- Weekend availability required.
- Previous retail operations or inventory management experience preferred; visual merchandising sensibility a plus.
Job responsibilities include:
- Oversee and organize furniture inventory, including receiving, tagging, movement, and rotation.
- Manage seasonal floor conversions, transforming storage and showroom spaces to align with evolving collections and visual storytelling.
- Direct outdoor space operations — including layout, furniture, pottery, and accessory displays — ensuring each space feels intentional and inviting.
- Maintain the appearance, safety, and flow of all sales areas, both indoors and outdoors.
- Collaborate closely with team members to execute merchandising plans and respond to the store’s dynamic daily needs.
- Anticipate and adapt to shifting space requirements and seasonal transitions with creativity and calm under pressure.
