Must Haves:

• 5+ years in operational performance management
• 5+ years in migration and consolidation programs
• Deep hands-on experience with VMWare, Net App storage and Veritas backup
• Ideally this person has experience upgrading VMWare to latest version
• Prior experience vetting recommendations for storage and VMWare upgrades
• Strong operational knowledge of Active Directory and Citrix
• Understanding of cloud best practices

Pluses:

• Prior experience in leadership & stakeholder engagement
• Experience with data center/CoLo design, documentation, and physical layout
• Understanding of network best practices
• Prior experience working with offshore service providers

Job Description:

The Infrastructure Engineer manages and optimizes cloud and on-premises infrastructure, focusing on cost efficiency, service performance, and governance. This role is critical in bridging gaps between internal needs and outsourced service agreements. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Net App storage, Veritas backup, and strong operational knowledge of Active Directory, VMware, and Citrix. The role requires maintaining detailed infrastructure documentation and understanding physical and logical layouts of data centers.

Collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders is essential to deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions.

Essential Functions

• Cloud & On-Premises Infrastructure Management:
  Oversee and optimize Net App storage, Veritas backup, Active Directory, VMware, and Citrix environments.
• Service Optimization and Cost Efficiency:
  Analyze and improve service delivery, focusing on cost reduction and performance enhancement.
• Security & Compliance:
  Implement and maintain security standards and compliance across cloud and on-premises systems.
• Technical Support and Design:
  Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for storage, backup, virtualization, and directory services.
• Documentation & Physical Layout Management:
  Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure, including physical and logical diagrams; understand data center layouts.
• Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
  Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and partners to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
  Monitor system performance and generate regular reports.

Compensation: $45/hr to $60/hr exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
