Description:

Floor Care Maintenance Technician working as a team to maintain hard floor surfaces, carpet, some VCT, hand mopping, and vacuuming, must be familiar with running a walk behind floor machine and maintenance of machine. The following standards for machine maintenance are crucial. Position is Monday through Friday, 5-9 p.m. Will not be required to strip and wax, hourly wage $16.75 hr.

Other duties may include but not limited to:

* Use proper PPE where required.

* Some hand mopping.

* Use of chemical safety procedures.

* Must be able to follow maintenance task schedule of equipment (daily/weekly).

* Will provide on the job training to familiarize with Tennant equipment for those with strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

* Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus.

* The ability to work at a fast-paced and in a multi-tasked job is necessary.

* Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall. team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time.

* Has respect and understanding for co-workers and clients.

* Must be able to communicate in English and/or use a translation tool.

* Must have own reliable transportation.

Physical Demands and

Qualifications:

* Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching over head, reaching forward. Must be able to lift and/or carry 25lbs.

* Ability to read instructions in English.

* Willing to wear a backpack vacuum.

* Respect of equipment which includes daily and weekly maintenance.
