Responsibilities- Lead Data Analyst tasks and related responsibilities for the program, including data collection, organization, interpretation, profiling and mapping.
- Document source-to-target mappings for data integration and web services with data quality and transformation rules.
- Collaborate with data scientists and business partners; conduct data profiling and predictive analysis using standard tools.
- Create conceptual, logical and physical data models and determine appropriate representations for business consumption (relational, dimensional, object, key-value, graph).
- Ensure conformance to enterprise data governance policies around information risk and data protection guidelines.
- Partner with data stewards and data architects; participate in defining data governance and data quality strategies.
- Data profiling and source-to-target mappings
- Data modeling (logical, physical, conceptual)
- Data visualization; SQL experience
- Experience with Informatica Data Quality or equivalent data profiling tool; fallback to SQL if tool issues arise
- Leadership and communication: director-level fluency, ability to describe and execute data analysis and modeling strategies
Position likely to be contract to permanent.
A Lead Data Analyst performs a variety of tasks related to collecting, organizing and interpreting data; inspecting, cleansing, transforming and modeling data; addressing data completeness and quality; and participating in business intelligence, advanced analytics, data integration and master data management efforts. Will be involved with traditional application development projects where necessary.
Role accountabilities include evaluating information from multiple sources, presenting results with visualization techniques, understanding data flow and business processes, documenting data mappings, identifying data sources and master/reference data, collaborating with data scientists, and creating data models across relational, dimensional, object, key-value and graph representations. Joint accountability with data stewards and data architects on conformance to data governance policies; familiarity with data masking and protection schemes.
Recommended experiences include data source identification, data profiling, pattern interpretation, and improving data quality; experience in analytically intensive, operationally data-intensive, and data integration-intensive projects.
