Job Overview

The Neuro Rehab Team Member is a licensed therapy professional who works within a multidisciplinary outpatient rehabilitation program. The role provides direct patient care, collaborates with the rehabilitation team, and participates in outcomes management activities.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with state laws and professional standards.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the team.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families.
  • Facilitate continuing care planning and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current licensure in Ohio as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer, or Speech Language Pathologist & Audiologist.
  • Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Preferable American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills.
Job Relationships

Works under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Clinic Manager and collaborates daily with Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Athletic Trainers, rehabilitation aides, student medical assistants, student interns, volunteers, nurses, physicians, psychologists, clerical staff, managers, administrators, admissions personnel, visitors, vendors, and referral sources.

Key Physical/Visual/Mental Requirements
  • Communicate clearly with all team members, patients, and families.
  • Maintain visual attention and concentration during treatment tasks.
  • Respond quickly to emergency signals.
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, climb stairs, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, or stand with patients, supporting weights of 80+ lbs.
  • Carry objects up to 20 lbs.
  • Balance self and patient to prevent falls.
