Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of recent home health experience for a geriatric-focused hospice role requiring travel within a 60-mile radius and HCHB EMR proficiency.
Responsibilities- Home health setting with a focus on hospice care
- Geriatric patient population
- Average caseload of 5-7 patients per day (to be confirmed during interview)
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00–17:00, with every 6th weekend on-call required
- Travel within a 60-mile radius from the office hub required
- NO local candidates; must be willing to travel within designated territory
- HAH EMR experience required
- Dress code: scrubs of any color, no jeans
- iPad provided for documentation; cell phone not provided
- Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
- Timely and effective documentation and communication required
- Allotted territory may vary; adaptability is essential
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Must wear scrubs; jeans are not permitted
- Active Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of recent home health OT experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with HCHB EMR required
- Must be flexible with territory assignments
- Must meet physical requirements for home visits and patient mobility support
