- A recruiter will contact you for a 30‑minute virtual interview, followed by an on‑site interview and shadowing a current Behavior Technician.
- Conduct 1:1 therapy sessions with clients.
- Follow prescribed skill acquisition and behavior support plans.
- Collect and record data, write therapy notes for each session.
- Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress (with BCBA guidance).
- Assist the BCBA in preparing and organizing client materials.
- Maintain functional and technical knowledge by attending required trainings.
- Follow BACB guidelines.
- Work toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), if not already certified.
- Foster a positive working environment and maintain good vibes.
- Be able to lift and carry clients who weigh at least 30 pounds.
- Be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and use quick body movements as indicated.
- Be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures for extended periods.
- Be able to walk, run, and maintain a three‑foot distance from clients.
- Be able to sit/stand for extended periods and attend to basic needs (feeding, diapering, toileting, dressing).
- Have manual dexterity for specific computer and device functions for data collection.
- Have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication.
- Be able to take written data and transfer to electronic files or database systems.
- Be able to assemble, clean, and maintain therapy spaces including toys and furniture.
- Be able to administer medication to clients.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Detail oriented.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet team and client needs.
- Act with integrity and professionalism.
- Experience working with children ages 2‑12 in a classroom, daycare, 1:1 setting, or instructional childcare setting.
- Experience implementing principles of Applied Behavior Analysis; educational or allied health background.
