POSITION TITLE:

PURPOSE:
The Senior IA/QBHS position is a multi-faceted position due to the variety of services that may be provided by this staff member depending on their specific caseload including mental health treatment and support services, therapeutic behavior intervention services, psychosocial rehabilitation, intensive intervention services, and education services. Services may address the individualized mental health and/or educational needs of the client as determined by the client’s daily/weekly/monthly service schedule.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, special education, applied behavior analysis, or directly related degree. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience providing direct treatment and/or education to individuals with mental health illness, special education, autism, or related behavioral health needs. Must complete agency QBHS training upon hire.

Specific Duties , Competencies, Responsibilities, and Behaviors
IA-Specific
1. Develop lesson plans that are in accordance with established procedures
2. Prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate IEP goals and client- specific learning; ensure that all lessons and materials are differentiated for each client's needs
3. Provide a variety of learning materials and resources
4. Observe and evaluate client performance and development
5. Manage client behavior by enforcing expectations and procedures; maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the center
6. Collect data on the client's progress as outlined in the IEP and student specific learning goals
7. Communicate necessary information regularly to clients, colleagues, and parents regarding progress and needs
8. Collaborate with BCBA/Consultant and other relevant team members on each case
QBHS-Specific
9. Complete agency QBHS training upon hire and complete ongoing QBHS/BT supervision, training, and education development
10. Demonstrate accurate implementation of skills as taught in initial and ongoing training sessions and based on the feedback provided by supervisors;
Refer to the client’s Individual Treatment
Plan/Individual Service Plan (ITP/ISP) when providing mental health services
11. Provide CPST mental health services as needed by implementing specific, measurable, and individualized services to each person served focusing on the individual's ability to succeed in the community, to identify and access needed services, and to show improvement in school, work and family and integration and contributions within the community following current regulations and designated policy and procedure
