Admissions Coordinator - Inpatient Rehab

Ohio Health Rehabilitation Hospital – Dublin

Location: Dublin, OH

Employment Type: Full Time | On Site | Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm

Salary Range: $35,000 – $50,000

Bonus: Up to $300 in monthly bonus incentives

What An Admissions Coordinator Does
  • Serves as a member of the Business Development Team, managing referral intake and admissions of all patients.
  • Maintains close communication with all departments to prepare for admissions day.
A Day in the Life
  • Oversees pull-through process under the Director of Business Development, providing support, customer service and timely resolution of admissions issues.
  • Ensures all deficiencies remain at 0% to eliminate holds, working with CBO and HIM.
  • Ensures timely and accurate referral entry in Transitions of Care.
  • Processes insurance verifications and assists in pre-cert/authorization, tracking follow-up.
  • Coordinates with DBD, CEO, and other leaders for timely admissions.
  • Works with team to resolve challenges and obstacles.
  • Leads morning meeting with census, budget numbers.
  • Communicates admissions details (time, bed, physician) to hospital for confirmed admissions.
  • Provides hospital tours.
  • Provides customer service by accurately answering questions for internal and external customers.
  • Manages LOAs in HMS/Med Host, ensuring accurate entries, completing forms for corrections.
  • Reviews and enters daily census via Select Portal by 11am EST.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:

    High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years experience in an Admissions or Pre-Admissions Department.
Preferred Experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification.
  • Experience working with Excel and databases.
  • Previous experience in a physical rehabilitation setting.
