* Prepare aluminum extrusions for shipment by computer processing, packaging, and labeling to ensure the required

shipping standards are met. The desired candidate will be a dependable team-oriented individual with a strong

focus on maintaining a high level of safety, quality, and productivity.

** Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
* ** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.*
* + Pack aluminum extrusions into boxes or crates with regard to shape, color, and quality as required by order

+ Enter order data into computer.

+ Complete all required quality checks of materials

+ Apply correct shipping labels to boxes.

+ Pack brake metal radius, flat sheet, and non-standard items as required by the order.

+ Clean packing area to ensure a clean and safe environment.

+ Maintain a high level of safety awareness within the department

+ All other duties assigned by your Supervisor and/or Manager.

** Qualifications and Skill Requirements :*
* + High school diploma/GED (minimum)

+ Manufacturing or warehousing experience preferred

+ Good Math/Computer skills

+ Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs. during shift

+ Must be able to lift, stand, bend, and move for extended periods

At YKK AP America, Inc., pay is only part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.  The hourly pay range for this position ranges from $17.06 to $19.23, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions and vibration.
