Position: Biomedical Equipment Technician III (Contract)
Location:

Dublin, GA Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician III to join our team on a contract basis in Dublin, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of a wide range of biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on complex biomedical equipment and systems.
  • Calibrate and test medical devices to ensure accuracy and compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with clinical staff and vendors to resolve equipment issues promptly and minimize downtime.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on technical procedures and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements including FDA, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of parts and tools necessary for equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Participate in equipment acceptance testing and installation as needed.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in biomedical equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical device technology, including imaging, monitoring, and therapeutic equipment.
  • Certification such as CBET (Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician) is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools, test equipment, and CMMS software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clinical staff and vendors.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls as needed.
  • Must pass federal background check and drug screen,

This position is based in Dublin, GA and involves working in a healthcare environment with exposure to various medical devices and equipment. The role may require lifting and moving equipment, standing for extended periods, and adherence to strict safety protocols.
