monday thru friday 10:00am- 6:30pm
Essential duties and responsibilities
• troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel reefer equipment (thermo king & carrier trailer refrigeration systems, reefer microprocessors, etc.).
• perform preventative maintenance within manufacturer standards.
• mentor other maintenance shop personnel.
• receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action.
• utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
• maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.
• willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
• other duties as assigned by manager.

• n/a
Relationships
• internal: all fleet technicians, drivers, coordinators and manager.
• external: dealer service managers.
Work environment
• onsite: the associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a us foods maintenance facility.
Minimum qualifications
• must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a fleet reefer/refrigeration technician. Tk/carrier refrigeration certifications.
• must be willing to travel and attend training provided by us foods.
• diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to reefer equipment repairs.
• successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• must furnish own personal hand tools.
• ability to read and understand technical and online service manuals.
Education
• high school diploma or equivalent required.
Certifications/training
• epa 608 (type 2 or universal) & epa 609 certifications
Licenses
• must possess a valid driver’s license.
Preferred qualifications
• ability to comply with epa and osha & dot regulations as pertaining to the shop and fleet.
• computer and software experience/ noregon diag equip/a/c recovery, etc.
• able to repair and overhaul warehouse equipment.
• welding ability
• valid class a cdl license and dot certification

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $40-$42 per hour.
