Aboutthe Role
As a Senior Field Performance Technician , you will play a crucial role in managing the scheduling, execution, and quality of solar service and warranty work. You’ll lead and train local field teams while coordinating with foremen and branch management to ensure resources are allocated effectively. This is your chance to shine in a role that combines technical expertise with leadership!
YourResponsibilities
- Organize and Lead: Maintain the warranty and service schedule efficiently.
- Collaborate: Work closely with the Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor, and Branch Manager to allocate labor resources for service and warranty projects.
- Train and Develop: Assist in training Field Service Technicians and Field Communications Technicians.
- Facilitate Meetings: Lead regular meetings to align and train the local field service team on best practices.
- Support Onboarding: Help onboard and train new members of the field performance team.
- Exceed Goals: Regularly surpass defined goals for key performance indicators.
- Assist with Inspections: Participate in inspections and site audits as assigned.
- 1-3 years of field construction or solar experience.
- Preferred experience in PV design or PV electrical systems.
- A high school diploma is required.
- Must have a clean driving record and be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Valid state or local Electrical Journeyman certification is preferred and may be required based on state regulations.
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes and applicable standards.
- A motivated team player with a proven track record of excellent customer service.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to interpret single line drawings and understand PV systems.
- Commitment to safety and the ability to encourage others to work safely.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make logical decisions.
- Ability to transport materials and equipment (up to 50 pounds frequently).
- Comfortable working on rooftops and in various outdoor conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders and maintain balance on roofs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and distinguish colors.
