Marketing Manager

Responsible for guiding and driving the global marketing strategy for the Chemical Distribution & Services business unit aligned with the company's corporate identity. The manager will also lead the execution of marketing communications campaigns, activities, and events.

What You’ll Do Marketing
  • Lead global marketing activities, ensuring adherence policies, governance, and consistency of messaging and execution.
  • Develop external communications strategies and tactics that support the global business strategy for corporate and the CD&S division.
  • Develop and publish marketing that aligns to key divisional business priorities and reinforces global/divisional goals, vision, mission, values, and purpose.
  • Leads all activities related to new and existing customer and supplier growth through the strategic positioning of Univar Solutions’ value‑add competitive advantage.
  • Builds the Univar Solutions brand to improve customer and supplier relationships while managing the product mix for price advantage.
  • Directs tactical marketing mix (including Trade Shows) by industry and region to increase awareness and generate impressions and sales leads.
  • Develop and implement audience growth strategies across digital and traditional channels to expand market share and engagement.
  • Implement content distribution frameworks using SEO, paid media, influencer partnerships, and syndication to enhance reach and visibility.
  • Analyze and report results with progress around key metrics.
  • Manage budget for Marketing and Mar Com.
Marketing Communications (Mar Com)
  • Work closely with the CD&S Business team to lead the implementation of Marketing activities, including digital campaigns, content creation, and promotional event management.
  • Lead the development of marketing communications for distribution via online and offline channels, such as web content, social media and print ads.
  • Lead market research and analysis to understand Customer and Competitor behavior.
  • Lead the tracking and reporting on performance of Marketing Communications efforts.
  • Lead promotional distribution guidance, and relevant logistics for trade show appearances.
  • Design and optimize content calendars and distribution strategies to grow audiences across social platforms, email, and partner networks.
  • Use analytics tools to identify high‑performing content and replicate success for audience expansion.
Capabilities
  • Can synthesize program portfolio team inputs to support development of engaging marketing strategies and annual plan for new/market transformation and mature products.
  • Knows how to perform customer segmentation analysis and distill product value propositions to develop product bundles.
  • Ability to understand suppliers and customers using internal and external data to determine preferences.
  • Proficiency in audience development tactics, including social media growth, influencer engagement, and community building.
  • Strong understanding of content amplification techniques, including paid advertising, organic reach optimization, and partnerships.
  • Proven experience using You Tube analytics, algorithm insights, and standard processes to drive subscriber growth and audience engagement.

What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications.
  • 10 years of experience in functions related to Marketing or Communications.
  • Experience in Marketing Cloud Salesforce, Tableau, Romify, and First Up tools.
  • Experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Viva Engage, One Drive, etc.)
  • Proven track record in developing and delivering content distribution strategies across multiple channels.
