The Senior Business Analyst (Allocation Systems) plays a critical role in bridging business needs and technology solutions for allocation applications and related retail planning systems. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and delivery partners to define requirements, improve processes, design system enhancements, and support high visibility initiatives such as the Allocation Technology Refresh.

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, uncover pain points, and translate needs into clear, complete functional requirements.
• Facilitate requirement workshops, discovery sessions, and working meetings.
• Document current state and future state process flows, system interactions, and user journeys.
• Analyze impacts across upstream/downstream systems and dependencies.
• Support the Allocation Tech Refresh as a core team member, ensuring requirements, test coverage, and documentation are complete and accurate.
• Collaborate with IT architects, application analysts, and vendors to design solutions that align with business needs and technical standards.
• Prepare and deliver presentations, options analysis, and recommendations for business and leadership.
• Own the creation, maintenance, and governance of: o Functional specifications o Process maps and swim lane diagrams o System context and data flow diagrams o User guides, reference materials, and support documents.
• Ensure documentation is kept up to date as systems evolve.
• Develop test strategies, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Support and/or coordinate UAT with business partners.
• Validate test results and ensure traceability of requirements to testing outcomes.
• Provide Tier 0/Tier 1 guidance to business partners regarding process, system behavior, or data flow logic (not production support).
• Identify recurring issues and propose enhancements or process improvements.
• Help shape and improve delivery processes, BA standards, and templates for the team.

• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for non technical audiences.
• Great analytical skills, including the ability to uncover root causes and identify business/system impacts.
• Strong facilitation skills: able to drive meetings, gather information, and build consensus.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast moving environment.
• Demonstrated ability to create high quality process flows, diagrams, and documentation.
• close attention to detail and consistency in documentation and deliverables.
• Proven ability to take ownership and drive work to completion with minimal direction.
• Experience supporting technology projects, enhancements, or platform upgrades.
• Experience as a Senior or Lead Business Analyst (7+ years preferred) supporting enterprise applications.
• Experience with retail systems, preferably Allocations, Merchandising, Planning, or Supply Chain.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and leverage AI assisted tools to improve efficiency and accuracy in analysis, documentation, and execution.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Prior experience in modernizing or maintaining documentation libraries, Confluence/Jira, SharePoint, etc.
• Experience with JDA/Blue Yonder Allocation Systems.
• Familiarity with SQL for analysis or validation.
