General PurposeThe IT PM Project Manager II position is accountable for delivery of medium to high complexity projects. This position plans, initiates and manages medium to high complexity store technology projects with medium to large sized cross-functional teams. The Project Manager II establishes and maintains project governance, workplan, resource plan and budget. They monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met and maintain project documentation and traceability.
The Project Manager II interfaces with members of their project team(s), Advisory Group members, Steering committee and other IT and business stakeholders as well as vendor resources and vendor leadership as required). The Project Manager II works independently to organize and structure their own work, while providing vision, direction, training and coaching to project team members including Project Analyst(s). The role is responsible for continuing professional development to ensure they are following appropriate PM practices and staying current on relevant technology, processes and tools.
The base salary range for this role is $129,100 - $220,600. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
Essential Functions- Lead large programs with detailed knowledge of various delivery methodologies
- Manages the production of project and workstream plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized and resourced
- Plans and leads analysis and stakeholder consultation to agree on project scope and deliverables
- Plans and coordinates the identification of requirements, document and manage requirements throughout the project; and coordinate verification of achievement
- Identifies risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating where appropriate
- Drafts and delivers reports and presentations that enable stakeholders to evaluate progress and agree on plan and changes
- Collaborates with IT Contracts and vendor on contracts management, to review statement of work, address callouts from Legal
- Leads vendor contracting and ongoing vendor management
- Leads through the Capital Funding process managing large budgets/forecasts
- Leads medium to large project teams communicating project vision coordinating team actions on project activities; and flow of additional team members on and off the team as needed
- Builds team capability through training, coaching and mentoring
- Executes stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective project working relationships and to ensure stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met
