Senior Accountant

About the Role

We're seeking a talented Senior Accountant to play a key role in operational accounting, general ledger reconciliations, and financial controls. In this position, you'll apply your technical accounting expertise, analytical skills, and problem-solving mindset to enhance our financial processes. You'll collaborate across teams, support audits, drive automation initiatives, and mentor team members.

What You'll Do

+ Apply technical accounting standards to new and existing products

+ Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries and variance analysis

+ Prepare financial reports and analysis for senior leadership

+ Contribute to automation projects using tools like Black Line

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's preferred)

+ 7+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or internal controls

+ Solid understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks

+ Experience in financial institutions preferred; public accounting or audit background is a plus

+ Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reconciliation tools

+ Exposure to Jira or Snowflake for process automation is a plus

+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities

Preferred Skills

+ Expertise in GL account reconciliations

+ Prior experience in credit unions or banking

+ Strong communication skills paired with excellent problem-solving abilities
