Employment Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Position

Position Summary

Brave Christian Schools is seeking a wise, organized, and student-centered Director of Educational Support Services to oversee support programs for students in our TK–12 program. This leader will ensure that students with mild to moderate learning challenges receive appropriate academic support for each school level through structured intervention and school-based accommodation plans.

The Director will develop and implement “Thrive Plans,” which provide accommodations in conjunction with those found in the IEP and 504 plans, while remaining aligned with the philosophy and capacity of our private Christian school setting.

Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Vision
  • Lead and manage Educational Support Services for students in TK–12.
  • Develop clear systems for identifying and supporting students with mild to moderate learning challenges.
  • Ensure that support services align with Brave Christian Schools' mission, values, and academic standards.
  • Clearly communicate the scope of services to families during admissions and enrollment processes.
  • Oversight and development of supporting programs at each school level.
Thrive Plan Oversight
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and annual review of Thrive Plans.
  • Ensure accommodations are reasonable, appropriate, and sustainable within the general education classroom.
  • Maintain consistent documentation and progress monitoring for students on Thrive Plans.
  • Train faculty on implementing classroom accommodations effectively and consistently.
Student Evaluation & Placement Guidance
  • Review psycho educational evaluations and outside professional assessments.
  • Provide guidance to families regarding eligibility for support services within our program parameters.
  • Collaborate with administration in making enrollment and retention recommendations when student needs exceed school capacity.
  • Implement age-appropriate evaluations to support student learning and advancement.
Faculty Support & Professional Development
  • Communicate and coordinate with school leadership.
  • Serve as a resource to teachers for differentiation strategies and classroom interventions.
  • Provide training on instructional strategies that support students with learning differences.
  • Promote best practices in early intervention, especially in elementary grades.
Parent Partnership
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with parents regarding student progress and program limitations.
  • Guide families through evaluation processes when additional testing is needed.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up meetings and progress reviews.
Compliance & Documentation
  • Maintain confidential student records and support documentation.
  • Develop clear internal procedures for referrals, plan development, and progress tracking.
  • Ensure policies reflect private school guidelines while maintaining high professional standards.
Faith Integration & Leadership
  • Model Christ-centered leadership in all decision-making and communication.
  • Encourage a culture of grace, accountability, and high expectations.
  • Participate in leadership meetings, school events, and spiritual life activities.
Qualifications
Required
  • Master’s degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, School Psychology, or a related field.
