Senior Duty Manager - Baggage

Overview

The baggage operations team, your goal is to ensure that every passenger has a seamless and enjoyable experience from the moment they check in their baggage to when they collect it at their destination. You will work alongside other professionals to oversee the efficient handling and transportation of passengers' baggage and ensure that all terminal facilities related to baggage operations, such as baggage drop-off and collection points, are properly maintained.

Your focus will be on providing excellent customer service and ensuring that passengers feel valued and at the center of our operations.

• You ll oversee the safe and efficient operation of all baggage systems on a shift basis, implementing the daily baggage plan and taking prompt corrective action when disruptions occur.
• You ll act as the focal point for all communication between Baggage and AOCC, particularly for issues escalated to the Airport Duty Manager.
• You ll enforce operational standards, ensure delivery of expected customer service levels, and identify and resolve baggage-related issues, including those outside normal operating parameters.

• You ll be educated to a bachelor’s degree level specialized in Aviation or a related field.
• You ll have at least 5-7 years of relevant experience and core experience in Baggage Operations, Ramp Operations, Airport/Airline Operations, Aviation Security, Disruption Management.
• You ll have knowledge of airport baggage operations, systems and processes and knowledge of high throughput / high level customer service environments.
