We are looking for Simulator Pilots to provide services for enacting the role of Simulator Pilot in the simulator-based environment replicating air traffic scenarios for ATCO training.

A simulator pilot operates advanced flight simulators to practice and demonstrate aircraft operations without flying a real airplane. Their responsibilities include following real aviation procedures, operating aircraft controls, navigating routes, communicating as a pilot would in real flights, and responding to normal and emergency situations. They must accurately follow checklists, aviation rules, and scenarios.

This role will be based in the Dans training facility, close to Al Maktoum International Airport. Dubai Air Navigation Services (Dans) provides air navigation services at four airports in the UAE, one of which is the world’s busiest airport for international passengers, where their mission is to empower and develop all their people in delivering world‑leading air navigation services that exceed every standard, assure their customers, and shape global innovation.

This role will be reporting to the Simulator Operations Team Leader.

This is a talent pooling exercise for roles anticipated in 2026. Candidates who are successfully identified will be added to a pipeline for when the opportunity becomes available.

• Provide realistic performance during various ATC scenarios as per the exercise script/objective.
• Participate in testing and configuration of relevant equipment and software relating to the simulator and its upgrades.
• Maintain operational knowledge and understanding of associated/ancillary equipment.
• Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant parts of ICAO documents, AIP, and local ATC instructions.
• Perform the assigned duties as ATSI/LCE/OJTI.
• Manage the direct reports with maximum supervision and indirect reports with minimum supervision.

• Must hold High School Degree or higher.
• Strong interest and keenness in learning about aviation related subjects such as Air Traffic Services, Meteorology, air navigation, aircraft emergencies, Radar and Navigational aids, etc. is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office packages and knowledge of operating simulation software.
• Good written and spoken English is required.
• Ability to follow a set guide as part of the technology/human interface between controller and aircraft in a simulated environment.
• Ability to understand operational instructions.
