Role Overview
As Assistant Golf Course Superintendent, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining championship-caliber playing surfaces year-round. Working closely with the Head Superintendent, you’ll support all turf-management and course-preparation activities, helping to ensure our greens remain in pristine condition for both members and tournament play. This role offers a clear pathway to a full Superintendent position for driven turf professionals.

• Course Maintenance:
  Assist with mowing, fertilizing, aeration, topdressing, and other daily turf-care tasks.
• Agronomy Supervision:
  Monitor turf health; implement best-practice agronomic programs for warm-season grass varieties.
• Tournament Preparation:
  Prepare and fine-tune fairways, tees, greens, and surrounds to championship standards.
• Team Leadership:
  Lead, train, and motivate a diverse grounds-maintenance crew; foster a culture of safety and excellence.
• Equipment Support:
  Perform routine equipment servicing and minor repairs; ensure all machinery is safe and fully operational.
• Irrigation Management:
  Operate and troubleshoot irrigation systems; monitor water usage and execute basic system repairs.
• Health & Safety:
  Enforce environmental, health, and safety protocols across all maintenance activities.

• Diploma or degree in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, Agronomy, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ golf-course maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Valid pesticide application certificate (or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with irrigation systems, including troubleshooting and basic repairs.
• Deep knowledge of warm-season turfgrass species and their cultural requirements.
• Prior experience in tournament-level course preparation is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with proven ability to manage and inspire multicultural teams.
• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
