As a lead, you will architect and maintain core service frameworks, design high‑performance microservices in Rust, and collaborate across cross‑functional teams to deliver low‑latency, high‑availability solutions.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of 4‑8 engineers, guiding the development of core framework and key software components for the Kraken trading platform.
- Design and implement microservices using Rust, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Build solutions to mitigate risk, enhance security, and protect systems and data.
- Construct dynamically scalable, high‑transaction‑volume platforms with low latency and high availability.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and contribute to product roadmap accomplishments.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering.
- 3+ years of experience leading software development teams of 4‑8 people.
- Experience writing network services or asynchronous code in Rust.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong soft‑skills for effective communication and stakeholder engagement in a distributed team.
- Passion for solving complex engineering problems.
- Previous experience in trading and/or fintech.
