Job Description

The MEP Plumber plays a crucial role in maintaining and ensuring the integrity of plumbing systems within a variety of settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, this professional is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems, fixtures, and other plumbing essentials. The position requires a candidate who is adept at reading blueprints and technical diagrams, can identify and troubleshoot plumbing problems, and is skilled in using a variety of hand and power tools.

Safety and quality assurance are paramount as the plumber works in potentially hazardous environments, requiring adherence to security guidelines and construction standards. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, possesses excellent problem‑solving skills, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to execute plumbing tasks accurately.
• Install and repair plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment, and controls.
• Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent failures and inefficiencies.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve plumbing issues with speed and accuracy.
• Inspect structures to ascertain conditions and internal errors in plumbing systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other construction professionals as required.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local plumbing codes and standards.
• Utilize a variety of tools and machines for plumbing projects, maintaining tools responsibly.
• Maintain all safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Train and mentor junior plumbers, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
• Keep abreast with advancements in plumbing technologies and integrate them into work.

• Proven experience as a professional plumber in MEP systems and environments.
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical diagrams.
• Competency in using hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills to identify and address plumbing issues promptly.
• Certification or vocational qualification in plumbing or a related field preferred.
• Strong physical dexterity and stamina to perform manual plumbing tasks effectively.
