Job Description- Operate, maintain, repair and adjust air conditioning and refrigeration equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, split A/C units, window A/C units, cold rooms, coolers, ice machines, extract fans and all HVAC-related equipment.
- Coordinate with fire‑fighting contractors on scheduled maintenance and ensure the air‑conditioning system responds as per the cause and effect matrix.
- Ensure sufficient stock of spare parts for the A/C and refrigeration equipment and thoroughly check purchased materials for quality.
- Execute energy‑saving measures and help the department reduce energy cost.
- Carry out daily checks on cooling tower, make‑water system, chillers, primary & secondary pumps, AHU, FAHU, water treatment and major refrigeration equipment.
- Ensure all operating parameters are set as desired for intended operation.
- Familiarize yourself with the building and estate layout regarding safety aspects such as isolation points.
- Perform preventive maintenance work, such as servicing motors and air‑conditioning and refrigerators as per the maintenance schedule and maintain service/history reports.
- Attend to repair and maintenance of refrigeration equipment such as screw/centrifugal type chiller, cooling towers, make‑water system, walk‑in chillers, freezers, other commercial/industrial refrigeration equipment, window units, split, blower‑coil units, air‑handling units and fan‑coil units.
- Advise improvements to the current system to optimize operating efficiency and economy.
- 2 years trade certificate in R/AC and refrigeration engineering.
- 4 years of experience in a similar field; hotel experience is preferred.
- Practical and theoretical skills in chillers, cold‑storage, air‑conditioning and electricity.
- Languages:
conversational English and Arabic is an added advantage.
