Job Description- Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of diesel engine–driven dewatering pumps and generators to ensure reliable operation during normal conditions and critical situations.
- Perform routine servicing and maintenance of diesel engines, including oil change, filter replacement, belt checks, and cooling system inspection.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engine faults related to starting, overheating, abnormal noise, vibration, or smoke emissions.
- Carry out maintenance of dewatering pumps, including inspection of impellers, seals, bearings, suction and discharge lines.
- Ensure proper pump priming, alignment, and discharge pressure before operation.
- Attend breakdown and emergency call-outs, especially during rain or flood events.
- Coordinate with electricians for issues related to control panels, alarms, and safety interlocks.
- Report equipment condition, defects, and spare part requirements to the supervisor.
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, or Diesel Engine Technology
. - Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in diesel engine maintenance.
- Mandatory UAE driving license – Manual.
- Experience with dewatering pumps, stormwater pumps, or construction pumping systems is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and pump systems
. - Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
- Working conditions:
outdoor and site‑based work; willingness to work shifts, nights, and emergency duties.
