Job Title: Splicing Technician (Fiber Optic)

Location: UAE

License: Valid UAE Driving License required

Compensation: AED 2,500-4,000 (per month)

Job Purpose: The Splicing Technician will be responsible for performing fiber optic splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities on live networks. The role requires expertise in ribbon splicing, working with high-density fiber cables, and ensuring minimal downtime while maintaining safety and quality standards.

• Perform fiber optic splicing (single and ribbon splicing) on live networks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to ensure network integrity.
• Carry out troubleshooting and fault localization on optical networks.
• Ensure proper handling, installation, and termination of fiber optic cables and enclosures.
• Maintain documentation, splicing records, and test results for all work performed.
• Work closely with project teams to meet timelines and customer requirements.
• Adhere to safety regulations and industry standards while working on live networks.
• Drive to different project sites; a valid UAE driving license is mandatory.

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in fiber optic splicing (live network & ribbon splicing).
• Strong knowledge of fiber optic cables, connectors, closures, and patch panels.
• Proficiency in using splicing machines (e.g., Fujikura, Sumitomo) and testing equipment.
• Familiarity with UAE telecom standards and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in field environments.
• Valid UAE Driving License is a must.

• Salary: AED 2,500-4,000 per month (based on experience)
