Responsibilities
- Patrolling:Regularly inspecting building perimeter, exits, and interior areas to ensure security.
- Surveillance:Monitoring cameras and alarm systems to detect unauthorized activity or safety hazards.
- Access Control:Verifying visitor IDs, managing guest logs, and screening personnel with scanners or metal detectors.
- Emergency Response:Acting immediately during alarms, fires, or medical emergencies, including providing first aid/CPR.
- Reporting:Documenting daily activities and submitting detailed reports on incidents to management.
- Enforcement:Removing trespassers, enforcing company policies, and detaining individuals when necessary.
Skills
- Experience:Previous experience in security or law enforcement is often preferred.
- Training/Licensing:Valid security guard license or registration (often required by state/local law).
- Physical Fitness:Ability to stand/walk for long periods, climb stairs, and lift heavy objects.
- Communication:Strong verbal and written skills for reporting and interacting with the public.
