Job OverviewThe Crowd Management Executive (Usher) plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and orderly movement of guests s role involves guiding attendees, managing entry and exit points, assisting with seating arrangements, and maintaining crowd flow in accordance with safety protocols. Ushers act as front-line support for both guests and the event operations team, helping to deliver a well-organized and secure event experience.
The ideal candidate is alert, courteous, physically fit, and capable of handling large crowds calmly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities Crowd Flow & Guest Guidance- Manage and monitor crowd movement at entry, exit, and transition areas
- Guide attendees to seating areas, sections, or designated zones
- Assist guests in locating restrooms, food counters, emergency exits, and help desks
- Ensure orderly queues and prevent overcrowding in high-traffic areas
- Assist in managing access points, gates, and checkpoints
- Verify tickets, passes, wristbands, or badges as required
- Coordinate with security personnel to regulate crowd entry and exit
- Support controlled movement during peak times and intermissions
- Escort guests to their allocated seats or standing zones
- Assist with seating arrangements for VIPs, elderly guests, or persons with disabilities
- Monitor aisles, stairways, and walkways to ensure they remain clear
- Follow all event safety guidelines and venue regulations
- Identify potential safety risks such as congestion or restricted access violations
- Assist security teams during emergencies, evacuations, or medical situations
- Remain alert and report any suspicious behavior or incidents immediately
- Coordinate with event supervisors, operations staff, and security teams
- Assist in stage-area crowd control when required
- Support smooth transitions between sessions or performances
- Help maintain event discipline and decorum
- Provide polite and clear assistance to guests at all times
- Handle guest queries, complaints, or concerns calmly and professionally
- Direct complex issues to supervisors or security teams.
- Clear verbal communication and strong listening skills
- Ability to manage large crowds calmly and efficiently
- Strong sense of responsibility and alertness
- Team-oriented with the ability to follow instructions precisely
- Basic conflict-handling and problem-solving skills
- Good situational awareness
