We are looking for a highly skilled Perfumer Analyst to join our Fragrance Technical Laboratory team. This unique role involves analyzing fragrance compositions using advanced GC-MS technology and reconstructing formulas based on interpretation of analytical data. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in chromatography, fragrance analysis, and instrumentation maintenance.
Who We’re Looking For:- A bachelor’s degree, Laboratory scientific qualification in chemistry or a related field (degree level qualification required).
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with GC-MS instrumentation and fragrance analysis.
- Proven ability to interpret GC-MS data and reconstruct fragrance formulas.
- Expertise in chromatographic techniques and mass spectral interpretation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for analytical equipment.
- Determine qualitative and quantitative compositions of fragrances by interpreting GC/MS spectral data
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot GC/MS
- Attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and strong communication skills.
- High level of familiarity with current computing and information technology tools
- Perform fragrance analysis using GC-MS techniques to interpret and reconstruct formulas from market samples.
- Conduct GC-MS mass spectral searches
, co‑eluting searches, and maintain in‑house databases. - Apply knowledge of polar and non‑polar column separation
, sensory evaluation, and reporting methodologies. - Provide accurate volatile analysis results using Agilent Chem Station and Excel reporting tools.
- Participate in the identification, installation, and operation of new laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs with external vendors when necessary.
- Ensure and maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment and laboratory equipment in accordance with EH&S guidelines and good laboratory practices.
