Role Definition

The Business Development Manager is responsible for leading all efforts related to establishing strong customer relationships, creating business leads, and driving sales of new products (Prime Power) and associated balance‑of‑plant equipment (switch gear, enclosure, CHP, etc.). You will plan, set, and achieve the business plan while driving overall sales and go‑to‑market strategies to promote the company’s products and services. You will be part of a team consisting of dedicated BD managers and industry consultant managers.

You Will Do
  • Build strong customer relationships with key prime genset users, EPC and engineering firms
  • Develop a robust pipeline for future sales of prime/continuously running power plants
  • Ensure assigned customers have a “positive experience”
  • Serve as the industry expert for Caterpillar’s genset portfolio in AME
  • Identify gaps in product offerings and provide customer voice back to product groups
  • Create go‑to‑market strategies to increase prime running generator‑set sales
  • Lead projects to gain buy‑in for new market strategies

Qualifications
  • 12 or more years of experience in the power generation industry, sales or aftermarket roles.
  • Proven experience (7 years minimum) in a similar business development, customer‑facing role.
  • Must be proficient in English. Arabic or French is a plus.
