To implement and coordinate a comprehensive Employee Health, Safety and Environmental System for the employees of Vallourec

Key Responsibilities

The E&I business development manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying and expanding new business opportunities in Energy and Industry sectors
—including Refining, Petrochemical, LNG, Industry, and Powergen—within a specific territory. His aim is to enter or re-enter profitable niche markets where Vallourec can utilize its technical capability and expertise.

  • Use of internal and external resources to identify potential leads and business opportunities in the territory.
  • Present to customers Vallourec capabilities and expertise for the Energy and Industry applications
  • Build tailor‑made offers based on client needs, build value proposition.
  • Prepare quotes, negotiate contracts, and close deals (with support from back office, mills, R&D).
  • Ensure the profitability of the new businesses is aligned with company strategy.
  • Feed the CRM with new opportunities, reporting, minutes of meeting
  • Fulfill yearly targets
  • Coordinate the sales activities with other product lines and other regions to ensure optimal communication.
  • Ensure the customer qualifications and audits with the support of the Mills and the technical team.
  • Contribute to the 5-year business plan
  • Define a road map for customers development (End‑users, EPC, Fabricators, Design Institute, traders, distributors) and targeted applications (Process, powergen, Industry…)
  • Visit identified customers to present Vallourec capabilities and understand their need (Hydrocarbon Processing EPC’s, Oil & Gas producers, FPSO & Offshore Structure designers, Fabricators, Cranes & Heavy Equipment Manufacturers)
  • Identify low hanging fruits which can materialize in booking opportunities for 2026
  • Book the first orders
Skills
  • 2-5 years of experience in B to B industrial sales/industrial bid management as sales manager
  • Dynamic, open minded ready to take challenges

  • Strong business acumen, negotiator, strategic thinker and initiative taker
  • Influence skills both internal/external organizations at all levels
