As a “Business Development Associate” at Shibaam, you will be responsible for generating leads, creating lasting relationships with prospects, supporting the team with regular enquiries, order fulfilment, and contributing to the quarterly target.
Driven to grow alongside a forward-thinking IT company by actively targeting IT Managers, Procurement Heads, and businesses with recurring IT supply requirements, especially within MNCs and fast-growing enterprises. You will be a trusted advisor to our clients, uncovering opportunities across IT supply, services, AMC, and projects. This role demands adaptability, strong relationship-building, and a solutions-first mindset to identify opportunities, close deals, and grow accounts across diverse client needs.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and engage potential leads for IT hardware supply (laptops, desktops, peripherals, etc.) through cold calling, Linked In outreach, and strategic networking.
- Visit client sites across Dubai and nearby regions to conduct initial discussions and collect technical/ commercial requirements.
- Following up on dormant or disconnected leads and reviving potential business opportunities through proactive communication.
- Create and submit basic proposals with a keen understanding of client needs and available product options.
- Coordinate closely with the technical and inside sales team to ensure seamless follow-up and closure.
- Build a rapport with IT decision-makers and develop a strong sales pipeline for supply, with long-term potential for project-based and service-based upselling.
- 2–3 years of sales experience, preferably in IT hardware supply, B2B sales, or technology procurement.
- Fluency in English is a must. Additional command of Hindi, Malayalam, or Arabic is highly valued.
- Must be willing to travel across the city for client meetings and site visits.
- Geographical knowledge of Dubai will be an advantage.
- UAE Driving License will be considered an advantage.
- Candidates with a technical understanding of IT hardware (laptops, desktops, networking basics) will be prioritised.
- Ability to research and approach the right contacts using tools like Linked In Sales Navigator.
- Capable of using CRMs and lead-tracking tools for systematic sales engagement.
- Proficient in professional email writing and Whats App Business conversations.
- Strong verbal and written communication with persuasive storytelling ability.
- Skilled at handling objections, building trust, and following up till closure.
- Street-smart, target-driven, and always looking for the next opportunity.
