Office Sales Coordinator – Construction Materials Industry Overview
The Office Sales Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the sales team and ensuring smooth order processing within the construction materials sector. This position requires strong coordination skills, product awareness, and the ability to manage fast‑moving inquiries from contractors, builders, project managers, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily sales operations, including preparing quotations, BOQs, and material submittals
- Handle customer inquiries related to construction materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, blocks, waterproofing, hardware, or finishing products
- Prepare and follow up on sales orders, delivery notes, and invoices
- Track order status with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery to project sites
- Maintain updated records of stock availability, pricing, and product specifications
- Support the sales team in preparing technical documents, product catalogs, and compliance certificates
- Communicate with suppliers for pricing, lead times, and material availability
- Assist in tender submissions by organizing documents, pricing sheets, and required certifications
- Maintain CRM systems, sales reports, and customer databases
- Coordinate with finance for payment follow‑ups, credit approvals, and account updates
- Support marketing activities such as preparing promotional materials or coordinating product demos
- Detail‑oriented and highly organized

Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of construction materials, product categories, and industry terminology
- Experience in sales coordination, customer service, or office administration within construction or building materials
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM tools
- Ability to read basic technical drawings, BOQs, or material specifications (preferred)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
