Reporting to the VP & Head of Global Operators Commercial Development & Sales based in Dubai, this role leads the commercial development and sales teams managing relationships with Travelport’s Operator Partners in India and Sri Lanka. With the fastest growing travel market, the Senior Director will define strategy, set direction, and drive performance for the India & Sri Lanka market.
Responsibilities- Own commercial sales and business development for Operators in India and Sri Lanka.
- Ensure cadence and execution of annual business plans and quarterly business reviews for each Operator partner.
- Establish sales and growth plans to achieve revenue, growth, and profitability targets.
- Foster a culture of growth within the Operator Channel, including cross‑functional engagement with travel partners, agencies, and emerging businesses.
- Grow and maintain relationships with Operator Partners, ensuring alignment with the global Operator Channel strategy.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the Operator market, customers, and key competitors’ capabilities and strategies.
- Accurately manage the Operator channel sales pipelines and forecasts in accordance with the channel strategy, using CRM tools appropriately.
- Proven ability to manage, inspire, and lead a high‑performing sales team.
- Experience engaging shareholders and presenting to senior leadership teams internally.
- Track record in managing and selling to Operators and their customers.
- Experience creating P&L or other dealmodeling tools to assess business opportunities.
- Demonstrated accountability for commitments through proactive tracking.
- Experience leading multicultural teams across multiple geographies.
- Strong relationship management skills with Operator partners, shareholders, and teams.
- Proven decision‑making ability and experience implementing Operator channel strategy.
- Substantial experience managing complex, globally matrixed teams and leveraging internal resources for India & Sri Lanka.
- Capacity to act as a change agent with a positive, open, and flexible approach.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, resourcefulness, and creative thinking.
- Exceptional commercial skills, including value‑based selling and pipeline management.
- Deep desire to understand Operator and customer needs, exceeding expectations and supporting growth.
