Your day to dayAs Assistant Director of Sales – Leisure & MICE you will develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue and room‑night sales goals, set sales and marketing strategies, create tactical plans, and monitor results.
Key responsibilities- Identify business trends and marketing opportunities that improve hotel performance.
- Work closely with each salesperson to identify opportunities and exceed revenue goals.
- Complete face‑to‑face sales calls (minimum 5 per day).
- Understand the Dubai market, competitors, economic trends and sell against them.
- Monitor segment and team productivity and targets for Leisure and MICE.
- Actively sell all hotel services through outside sales calls, telemarketing, entertainment, sales trips, events and other channels.
- Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close business and maximize revenue.
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings.
- Effectively manage and develop relationships with key internal external stakeholders.
- Maintain a central, up‑to‑date file of all rates, offers and promotions.
- Ensure complete department training hours as per policy.
- Recruit, select, orient, train, coach and counsel staff.
- Execute HR tasks: performance appraisals, coaching, counselling, discipline, grievance, colleague relations, compensation and benefits.
- Communicate values, strategies and objectives to the team.
- Build a healthy work culture through information sharing and colleague activities.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety policies.
- Promote efficiency, courtesy, high social skills and a positive attitude.
- Maintain excellent inter‑departmental relations and a professional appearance.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing or related field.
- Four or more years of experience in hospitality or hotel sales and marketing with direct supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends.
