Account Manager – Hedge Funds
Role
Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining deep customer relationships to drive account revenue retention and growth. By collaborating with internal partners, the Manager delivers outstanding service and a valuable solution. The position will lead a defined book of business or group of accounts (hedge funds) in the territory and will be accountable for the commercial close of all deals.
The Manager will also open up larger solution opportunities and introduce Solution & Proposition Sales as well as the Customer Support department.
- Build and execute a business plan for increasing LSEG presence in Hedge Funds in UAE with a clear strategy (short and long term) defining specific actions for driving growth by expanding LSEG footprint
- Build and embed a long‑term trusted advisor relationship within their accounts as well as a positive relationship with client C‑level and other decision makers within HF community
- Coordinate all commercial activities within accounts, being responsible for the end‑to‑end customer relationship
- Focus on maintaining overall customer engagement and growing and retaining handled net revenue
- Maintain understanding of product propositions to initiate conversations and raise interest
- Daily update of CRM with sales activities, forecast & pipeline
- Drive efficiency in account administration (especially for lower value and growth potential accounts)
- Lead internal and external stakeholders and maintain networks to negotiate and close deals
- Revenue retention (primarily), sales, and administration of accounts
- A self‑starter eager to learn and build meaningful networks in the UAE's burgeoning Hedge Fund space. A motivated team player who enjoys meeting and working with clients face to face.
- Strong knowledge of the Hedge Fund Industry, the major players and their strategies, operational knowledge of PMS, OMS and Risk systems. Experience in managing hedge funds, preferably in UK.
- An interest in data and alternative data, and how clients and potential clients back test and develop trading signals and strategies.
- 5+ years of proven experience within the customer segment (sales and account management experience).
- Strong listening and questioning skills are needed to design the right solution for our clients efficiently.
- Being self‑motivated and reliable, highly driven will bring its reward with fruitful deals.
- Ability to build strong & positive relationships with clients at all levels.
- Problem solving‑ability to understand, articulate, structure and solve customer needs.
- Confirmed account management, sales or marketing experience in a customer‑facing environment required.
- Language skills: proficient English. Arabic is preferred but not mandatory.
