The Role
The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that all graphic and promotional POS materials are installed on time adhering to company guidelines. Re‑merchandising of key areas in the store is required during new theme implementations. This role involves coordinating store display and theme changes that align with brand standards, maximizing visual impact through strategic floor plans, and maintaining high presentation standards.
The Visual Merchandiser must engage in effective communication with managers and provide photographic documentation of promotional activities, ensuring consistent brand identity and commercial opportunity integration.
- Implement and maintain all visual displays and general in‑store merchandising, ensuring VM guidelines are consistently followed.
- Re‑merchandise key areas in the store when new themes and seasonal implementations are installed.
- Coordinate store display and theme changes in line with brand guidelines and standards.
- Develop floor plans to maximize visual impact within the store.
- Ensure that brand identity and presentation standards in both windows and in‑store are achieved consistently while incorporating commercial opportunities.
- Serve as the point of contact for VM Manager visits, calls, emails, and meetings.
- Be the main VM point of contact for Store Manager/Sales Management communication.
- Attend weekly conference calls with the VM Manager for updates on all VM and graphics‑related work.
- Engage and work well with different cultures and nationalities.
- Receptive to constructive criticism and feedback.
- Ensure all graphics and promotional POS material are installed on time, following company standards and guidelines.
- Keep photographic documentation of all promotional and VM work carried out in the store.
- Follow a daily checklist and ensure that any action plans are completed on time.
- Conduct a daily store walk with the VM Team and ensure checklist/action plans are executed correctly and on time.
- Coordinate tasks and follow‑ups efficiently with the Senior Visual Merchandiser.
- Consistently seek creative ways to improve and develop store displays in line with the brand concept.
- Utilize a highly developed knowledge of interior design, visual merchandising, and home furnishing trends.
- Demonstrate a passion and love for design, color, and style.
- Strong communication skills.
- Eye for detail and design aesthetics.
- Ability to engage with various cultures and nationalities.
- Knowledge of local and international market trends.
The Role
- Completed full‑time education to a high school level.
- 3+ years of experience in a retail environment or VM role.
- Strong visual merchandising skills from furniture or home furnishings/accessories background preferred.
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Office, and design packages such as Photoshop and Illustrator an advantage.
