A Sales Supervisor leads, coaches, and manages a sales team to achieve targets, providing a crucial link between sales staff and management. Responsibilities include developing sales strategies, training, scheduling, monitoring KPIs, resolving customer issues, and ensuring high service standards to drive revenue and team performance.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and motivate sales representatives, ensuring high morale and productivity.
- Performance Management: Set and track daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals, targets, and KPIs.
- Operational Control: Oversee daily store or team operations, including staff scheduling and task delegation.
- Customer Service & Sales: Handle escalated customer queries/complaints, ensure exceptional service, and assist in closing deals.
- Sales Strategy: Analyze sales data to identify market trends, improve performance, and implement promotional strategies.
- Inventory/Merchandising: Monitor inventory levels and ensure compliance with visual merchandising standards.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience as a sales representative or supervisor.
- Leadership: Strong team management and motivational skills.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal abilities to interact with staff and clients.
- Analytical
Skills:
Ability to analyze sales reports and data. - Problem-Solving: Capability to address and resolve complex issues quickly.
- Technology: Proficiency in CRM software and, in retail, Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- High school diploma;
Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing is a plus. - Strong knowledge of sales principles and customer service practices.
