Job DescriptionNovotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha is seeking a talented and dedicated Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes while maintaining excellent food safety standards.
- Assist the Chefs in preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are followed at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain smooth operations during service
- Participate in menu planning and development of new dishes
- Manage and organize your station, including mise en place and clean-up
- Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels for your assigned section
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Assist with food cost control and minimizing waste
- Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification in culinary arts
- Valid food safety certification
- Proven experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, techniques, and international cuisines
- Excellent knife skills and ability to operate standard kitchen equipment
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and recipe documentation
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural work environment
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
