Job Description

Novotel & Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha is seeking a talented and dedicated Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes while maintaining excellent food safety standards.

  • Assist the Chefs in preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are followed at all times
  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain smooth operations during service
  • Participate in menu planning and development of new dishes
  • Manage and organize your station, including mise en place and clean-up
  • Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels for your assigned section
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Assist with food cost control and minimizing waste
Qualifications
  • Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification in culinary arts
  • Valid food safety certification
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen setting
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, techniques, and international cuisines
  • Excellent knife skills and ability to operate standard kitchen equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and recipe documentation
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to thrive in a multicultural work environment
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
